About Purple

Purple is America's voice. Not the media's version. Not a politician's version. The actual thing — what real people think, in their own words.

Purple is a civic polling platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
What we collect
When you vote, we record your vote and the time it was cast. If you choose to share demographic information (state, age range, community type, professional background), we record that too. If you sign in with your email, we store that email. Nothing else.
What we never do
We never sell your data. We never show advertising. We never share your email with third parties. We never use your data to target you politically or commercially. No individual vote is ever attributed to you publicly.
How your data is used
Your votes and demographic information are used exclusively to generate aggregated, anonymous statistics showing what Americans from different backgrounds think about different issues.
Data storage
All data is stored securely on Supabase, a US-based cloud database provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Votes cast before signing in are stored locally on your device only.
Deleting your data
To delete your account and all data, email privacy@purple-poll.com with subject "Delete my account." We will respond within 7 days.

Purple
Not Left · Not Right · Real
For years, the loudest voices told you what America thinks.
Purple asks.
One question. Real people. No spin. No agenda.
Turns out most Americans don't fit neatly into either box.
Purple proves it.
The Name
Red and blue mixed make purple. Not a compromise. What you get when you stop pretending only one color is real.
The Origin
Conceived by two friends. One passed away before seeing it built. Purple carries his conviction that real voices matter.
Our Promise
No advertising. Ever.
No selling your individual data. Ever.
No editorial influence on results. What people say is what you see.
Results show what Purple users say — not a scientific poll of all Americans.
Voice recordings are public by design. Your words, attributed to you.
Every voice carries equal weight.
How It Works
One vote per person per question
Each device can vote once per topic. Votes are stored in a secure database with timestamps. Nothing is edited after submission.
Results are unfiltered
What people vote is what you see. No weighting, no adjustment, no editorial influence. The numbers are the numbers.
Not a scientific poll
Purple does not use random sampling. Results reflect people who chose to vote — not a representative sample of all Americans. Small sample sizes mean results will shift as more people participate. We show sample sizes on every result so you can judge for yourself.
The data is auditable
Every result can be exported as a CSV from the Data page. Vote totals accumulate over time — you can see exactly how results shifted as more people weighed in. There is no hidden data.
Left/right arguments are AI summaries
The arguments shown on each question are AI-generated summaries of common perspectives — not official party positions or statements from any organization. They're starting points for thinking, not authoritative sources.
